Group5AgendaThis is a featured page

As co-chair, welcome to Group 5. I'm Scott Farrar co-chair with Terry Langendoen. Thanks for those who've already edited the wiki. I'd like to suggest a preliminary agenda (based on the initial wiki activity) for our Berkeley meeting. Please feel free to alter this list or suggest changes. I hope that the wiki will grow organically as we begin to discuss.

  1. Discuss the current state of affairs for linguistics, esp. in comparison with other fields.
  2. Choose a few particular fields (maybe 4 or 5?) and discuss how they've approached their own cyberinfrastructure needs.
  3. Enumerate the key facets of the approaches that contribute to success.
  4. Discuss any bad examples of cyberinfrastructure from other fields.
  5. Address the tools that have contributed to the success of cyberinfrastructure from other fields.
  6. Prepare our public statement for the workshop.
